On 17th January 2012 the Northern Cluster Priority Setting Meeting took place at Eastwood Police Station. Members of the community, councillors and police came together to discuss what YOU would like your local police to focus on over the next three months. These meetings take place every three months where three neighbourhood priorities are agreed. The Northern Cluster Neighbourhood Policing Team cover Brinsley, Eastwood North, Awsworth, Cossall, Newthorpe & Giltbrook

The following three neighbourhood priorities were agreed at the meeting and will stay in place until April 2012:
1. Anti Social Behaviour
Groups of youths causing harassment alarm or distress at the following locations:
Brinsley - Cordy Lane near the Parish Hall and alleyways at St James Church, Brynsmoor Road and Hobsic Close/Broad Oak Drive
Awsworth - Lawrence Avenue around the shops. Barlow Drive South and the alleyway behind which leads to The Glebe
2. Speeding Motorists
Vehicles exceeding the speed limit at the following locations in Brinsley and Giltbrook & Newthorpe:
Brinsley - Church Lane, Cordy Lane and Broad Lane
Giltbrook & Newthorpe -Smithurst Road Giltbrook and Church Lane Newthorpe
3. Burglary Dwelling
Concern about the increase in burglaries across the whole cluster
